Child's Play

I have talked about Sawyer's increase in play recently, and I'm continually excited by how well he plays alone. He likes to play with his toy house and new toy barn, and must have some imagination, because he seems to make the little people interact with the animals--typically they either fight or give kisses, or both--and move around the house or drive the cars. It's pretty cute.

And then there's the other kind of play...at this very moment he is chasing around his plastic golf ball and bashing his the floor with his plastic golf club in an attempt to hit it. Either way, it's entertaining to watch and also allows me to sometimes do things like check my email and post to the blog.

Well, this is actually a comment about some of your old posts! I thought I'd let you know that I just spent over an hour reading all of your posts from last August & September (when Sawyer was 3-4 months old) because it was just fun to see what he was up to at the same age that Josiah is now (Josiah will be 4 months on 11/20). And it was really encouraging to relate... the sleep stories, developmental milestones, thinning hair, even the grabbing-with-toes stuff :) Anyway... thanks for documenting everything so well! Hope you're feeling well with baby #2. Having a second child seems so intimidating to me right now, but I guess when the time is right for us it won't be as scary (or maybe it will.. but I'll just deal) :) Oh, and Happy belated b-day too!

Hey! Your friends would love a post on your birthday. How was it? Good food? Sprinkles? :)
