It's currently 8:25am. Sawyer's Mother's Day Out starts in 30 minutes and it takes 20 to get there. Rob (who is taking him) and Sawyer (who is going) are both still asleep. I don't have the heart to wake them.
I feel that this has to be related to the fact that it's stupidly cold outside. And I'm not exaggerrating this time: it's 38 degrees! They're hibernating. Still, it's cold. Prompting this open letter to my city.
Dear Houston,
When I moved here, I loved that you were hot. What happened? I do like that your weird weather is keeping my boys well-rested. But my feet are freezing and my plants are all dying because they're tropical. So...could you make it hot, but also keep the boys sleeping? Also, I'd really like it if you had Krispy Kreme donuts and K-Marts again. I don't know why you've banned things starting with the letter K anyway--please don't ban me! And bring back summer please. Just in time for Christmas? Thanks!
