Tuesday Confession, One Day Late As Usual
I love cooking, but otherwise really stink at housework. Laundry sits in the dryer (or washer) sometimes for days, and once out, never gets put away, then gets thrown back in the wash because it's been in the floor forever. The last time I mopped the floor was...um, did I ever mop? Probably not. I like to think that I make up for it with good food, but it's still pretty embarrassing. I know I can't be supermom and try not to feel pressured to do that, so the house is what suffers. On the plus side, dust bunnies really love me.

mr. PPPPPs also leaves clothes in the dryer and messes up stuff and i don't have a 19 month old to take care of every minute. knowing you can do better is for everyone not just you and at least you can admit it which is really great.
ReplyDeleteI love this post! My neighbors always have a spotless place and TJ has always assured me that getting a good dinner every night is what he's grateful for. (I've never seen both done well at the same time.) For a neat freak TJ is very supportive of my disaster. I am good at justifying :)

Laundry is my complete worst downfall!! I HATE IT! I love having clean clothes, but the whole process of gathering it up and then having to fold it... uggghhhhh... BORING! So I tend to do the same... clean clothes usually end up in a chair or the bench at the end of our bed then once they get dirty, they proceed to the floor.. then the process starts over again. I don't mind cleaning and picking up stuff (other than clothes) but laundry is just no fun!
ReplyDeleteI kid you not, our guest room has doubled as an enormous laundry room ever since my daughter's birth. I am the worst laundress EVER. I routinely dump laundry on the guest bed, then we shove it all around when we're looking for a matching pair of socks, and then it winds up on the floor and back in the wash and back on the bed.
ReplyDeleteEvery now and then, we fold some of it. And every time we do, I find some beloved outfit that I've not seen in three months lol.
So you are in good company!! =P
The way I figure it is that laundry can wait, but all that time I'm spending with the baby in the meantime shouldn't have to =)
In other news, I think I've come across your blog before, but I can't quite remember, so I hope that I'm not repeating myself, but CONGRATULATIONS on your pregnancy!!!!!!
I clean the bathrooms more frequently than I mop. I have a good friend who actually came over and mopped my floors for me. Hmmm, that says something about how often we mop. I try to keep crawling babies off the kitchen floor because they pick up all sorts of stuff. ha ha!
