And speaking of things I have a hard time spending money on... I'm desperate for pajamas. The reality is that during pregnancy, and just as a stay-at-home-novel-writing Mom, I spend an obscene time in pjs. They're comfy. And warm. And I don't feel like I have to wash them all the time, even if I'm frequently wearing them. (Hope that doesn't gross anyone out...) The problem is that I hate spending money on things no one sees me wear, so I have all these mismatched, ill-fitting things.
Lately, too, I've been thinking about post-baby, and how last time I really wished for some comfy post-baby things to wear that I could also be seen in by all the well-wishers and our family. I think I wore the same two nursing tanks for like a month, and they were a little more scandalous than I would have liked. I just didn't want to spend the money.
Yesterday in Target I found myself coveting some Gilligan & O'Malley sleepwear things that looked so pretty and were so soft...but I just have difficulty shelling out for pj's. They had everything from cute flannel-y pants to short robes to wear over said pants, and then a few tops that would really work for nursing, though they were not nursing tops. (They also do carry nursing tops online.) Check out this pajama set--cute, appropriate, and a great comfy material. Anyway, I'm adding this to my list of things to consider buying for me before baby so that I can lounge and still feel pretty and also not like I have to throw on a sweater when someone comes over to meet the new little one. Why stop at paying $16 for stupid maternity pantyhose?? Ug.
your mother is coming!! I will buy you something if you are good!!
ReplyDeletei asked for pj for one christmas because i love soft flannel ones with wintery print. however, my dh spend $45 for ONE set of very plain solid color pj and another $45 for shearling slippers from ll bean or land's end! i learned to tell him specifically what i want and where to get them! i returned the expensive items and brought some cute pjs from walmart or target, i forgot where (it has been three years or so!!) i am getting myself another set this year!! i love the one with buttons since it's easier to nurse that way.
ReplyDeletewith a baby due during the winter, great pj goes a long way!
Those pjs are really cute. You should buy them!
