More beach pictures to come, but we are back now and I am fascinated watching Saw play. A year ago, he was just a tiny thing, barely able to do anything other than wiggle a bit, cry, and look around. Mostly, he slept. But now, I am watching as he is fully concentrated on taking a toy basket in and out of his playhouse. Why? I don't know. It's very important, though, and it must be done over and over again, apparently. In. Out. In. Out. Each time is a struggle, as the basket has to be turned just the right way to get through the door. He has figured this way out now, after like the tenth time. Now the basket is on his head and he's walking around the room with it like that. And now the basket is in the playhouse with Sawyer on the outside, door shut.
I am so amazed by the actions driven by some kind of thought process in my little guy's head. He is totally consumed by what he is doing now and has forgotten me completely. All that matters is this basket, and what he wants to do with it. Development is such a wild thing, and watching it moment by moment truly is amazing.
