Today's link is for my friend Nicole's site. I call her friend even though I have only spent about five minutes in her presence. That five minutes being the five minutes in which I met her.
She's one of those people that God randomly tosses into your life that you instantly click with and have some kind of strange connection. Kind of kindred spirits. We'll probably never live in the same town or hang out in person much, but need I remind you this is the digital age? Probably not, if you're reading my blog.
Her site is called The Stubborn Servant. I love it (and really HER) because of her honesty with faith issues. She used to be a counselor and now is a speaker and writer and helps with a lot of women's things in the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (which is the denomination where Rob works). She has Free Therapy Thursdays, where she deals with issues from a counseling (and christian) point of view. She talks honestly about struggles christians have and mistakes we make. I am all about honesty, especially where faith is concerned. People wouldn't call christians hypocrites so much if christians were more up front about the fact that we struggle and are big sinners. I could really digress here, but I'll stop.
I'm going to link to her again in a week or few when I moonlight over there talking about the word "mothering." Head over to her site and read today's therapy session on dealing when God feels absent.
wow, wow, I am overwhelmed. You rock. How cool that our lives intersected for five minutes and now it gets to continue! Can't wait to see your post, I'm glad you've enjoyed thinking about it. Thanks again....
