Coupon Armageddon Part 5: GO TO THE STORE

I haven't completed my Coupon Armageddon series yet, but kind of ran out of steam.  I still have no word on when the doubling Saturday (that I call the Kroger Coupon Armageddon) will occur, but there are some good specials running right now, so this is my post to get you from your couch to your car and then hopefully to your store.

Really, what can go so wrong??  Okay, I've had a few misadventures, and I know my friend Dana just had a hard time.  But you'll never find your stride if you don't actually start.  You'll learn a lot from where you screwed up, as long as you don't get super discouraged.  Here are things I learned by screwing up:

-make sure the websites you're checking show specials for where YOU live
-remember to bring your coupons
-don't leave your Extra Care Bucks in the store or throw them in the trash
-remember to make a list and pull the coupons you need
-pay attention at the register to make sure prices are ringing up as they should
-make sure you pull the right items off the shelf for the coupons you're using

Plan your trip and then GO.  Even if you don't have your coupon box, pay attention and go slow and you can still save money.  I saved almost 50% WITHOUT coupons the other day at HEB by shopping smart and taking advantage of sales and not buying anything I didn't need.  Look back through my Coupon Armageddon posts and check a site like Couponing 101 for great getting started tips.  And then, GET STARTED.  Feel free to email me or post your stories of how it goes here.
