Title: It's Working!
Three days after daylight savings and we have one kid converted and one almost there! The first day it was 5:45 for both, the second day one slept til the normal 7 and the other was 5:45 again. This morning? My early riser got up at 6:30. Close enough! We've almost made it!
I was writing this blog post in my head, you see, after Lincoln crawled in bed with me early this morning. He wasn't falling back asleep, but at least was being still and mostly quiet as I composed the post. Then I realized: it's really dark out. It didn't seem this dark out yesterday at 6:30. Maybe it's raining? I don't hear rain. Or thunder. And the dog is in bed with us, not hiding in the closet. Wait. I don't sleep in my glasses. Let's look at the clock again.
AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH! This was ten minutes after Lincoln got in bed, so he woke up even earlier this morning than the other two. It's not working. It's not. Mommy is tired.
But at least it wasn't 4:30. I know of at least a few Moms whose kids got up before the 5's. I'll be thankful for the little things. Like the difference between 4am and 5am.
