You were probably all wondering when I'd start talking about something other than my book. I can't help but be a little excited, okay? Even though running it for FREE yesterday and today means I'm not making money, it's like Christmas seeing it climb up the lists. Oh, did I mention I beat out Louisa May Alcott for the #1 spot in free Christmas books? Well, at least for a few hours anyway. (Amazon refigures it every hour.) Take that, Little Women! (A book I rather liked.)
So cue me not talking about my book (though you can get it free through December 1) and now talking about the other, less important, forgotten things.
Did you know I was pregnant? Yup, I forgot too.
Not really, of course. I've felt too much like poo lately to forget. And last night I had the joy of feeling him or her move for the first time! Always neat, especially that first time when it's like: Was that a.... did I just feel....Yup! There's a baby in there!
The difference between a first (or even second) pregnancy is the fact that I'm too preoccupied to know what size my baby is this week or what is developing. (I vow to go look as soon as I'm done with this post.) But I AM still pregnant. I'm not sure how many weeks, though. Totally true statement.
Overall, I keep thinking I feel better. Then this week I had two days of puking. Or, one day of puking and then another of heaving and having to leave the kitchen because a certain pot smelled too bad for me to wash. I still get migraines, mostly on Tuesdays. What is it about Tuesdays?! I would say I most definitely look pregnant now, but still can wear my non-maternity stuff, though pants are so uncomfortable that I've traded them in for maternity pants, which are so baggy I'm constantly losing my britches. I promise a better photo next time without black on a background of black fireplace.
I have a doctor's appointment in a few weeks and I'll get another ultrasound--with photos!!! And I promise I'll try to figure out when my due date is. We are not finding out the sex of the baby. I'm guessing girl because I've been so sick this time and wasn't with the other two, but maybe it's just a heck of a boy.
NEWSFLASH! I just looked it up on Baby Center. I'm 17 weeks, the baby is the size of a turnip, and I'm due May 7th. Ta DA!
Ps- I'm bookending with the book because I'm still excited. Here I am, ousting poor Louisa May Alcott, God rest her soul. And a bunch of other people with free Christmas books. Thanks for all the support to make that happen! I'm almost in the Top 100 free books, a much bigger category, so that's my goal for the day. If you haven't gotten a free copy, snag it HERE.
(Just to clarify, that's the Top 100 Free CHRISTMAS books.)
